Young Phoenix
"inspiring & engaging children in quality choral singing"
Do you enjoy singing?
"Young Phoenix", the Phoenix Singers' junior choir in partnership with Staffordshire County Council Performing Arts department, was launched with a free singing workshop at Trinity Church, Leek on Monday 23rd October, during schools' half term. The day was open to boys and girls aged 7-13 and over 50 children had a day of music and fun which ended with a concert to a large appreciative audience. The children were invited to join the new group, which will meet for weekly evening rehearsals during term time on Monday nights at Leek First School, East Street from 6-7pm. Young Phoenix will enjoy plenty of performance opportunities, both with the adult choir and with other Staffordshire music groups.
