If you’re 7to13 years old, enjoy singing and having fun, Young Phoenix is just the thing!
We sing lots of different types of songs…pop and chart songs, songs from the musicals, traditional songs from around the World, silly songs; the list keeps on growing!
We practise every Monday night during term time from 6-7:15pm at Leek First School, East Street, Leek. We enjoy performing at concerts and local events throughout the year, sometimes with other singers and musicians.
Our Conductor:
Our Conductor is Dan Hollingshurst, a music graduate of Cardiff University who is an experienced music teacher and workshop leader. Dan also leads musical activities for young people for Stoke-on-Trent City Music and Performing Arts Service and Staffordshire Performing Arts has previously worked for Making Music, the English Folk Dance and Song Society and Towersey and Whitby Festivals as a workshop leader. Dan firmly believes that music must be approached and delivered in a fun, accessible way – this is central to the ethos of Young Phoenix.
